2. Description of the Service

DueVinci is an academic planning and student productivity workspace designed to help users track assignments, organize coursework, manage schedules, calculate grades, and extract study milestones from syllabus documents using AI assistance. Core planning features are available without a paid subscription. Canvas LMS Sync and the Socratic Study Companion are subscription benefits, subject to the plan shown in the Service.

3. User Accounts & Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your authentication credentials (password or passkey).
• You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• You are solely responsible for all content, notes, syllabus files, and grade data you submit to the Service.

4. Academic Integrity & AI Disclaimers

DueVinci is intended strictly as a time-management, organization, and self-study aid. The Socratic Study Companion is designed to guide learning with questions and explanations, not complete graded work or produce submission-ready answers. You remain responsible for following your institution’s academic-integrity rules.

5. AI Features & Age Requirements

AI features send the inputs described in our Privacy Policy to Google Gemini through a server-side service. AI results may be inaccurate or incomplete, and must be reviewed against your official course materials. Google’s Gemini API terms require developers not to make API clients directed to, or likely to be accessed by, people under 18; do not use DueVinci AI features if you are under 18.

6. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to:

• Upload malicious files, viruses, or unauthorized scripts.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our backend databases or Edge Functions.
• Interfere with or disrupt the security or integrity of the Service.
• Reverse-engineer or scrape the platform for commercial resale.

7. Intellectual Property

The DueVinci name, logo, custom algorithms, user interface designs, and code are the intellectual property of the DueVinci project. User-submitted coursework materials and notes remain the sole property of their respective owners.

8. Subscription, Trials & Cancellation

If you start a trial or subscription, the price, billing interval, and any applicable taxes are presented before checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe; DueVinci does not store full payment-card numbers. You can manage or cancel an active subscription through the billing portal made available in Settings. Cancellation stops future renewal as described at checkout; access remains available through the current paid period unless otherwise stated. Refund rights, if any, are governed by applicable law.

9. Account Deletion & Termination

You may terminate your account and delete all associated personal and academic data at any time via the Settings modal inside the application. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind. DueVinci is not liable for missed academic deadlines, grade calculation discrepancies, or server downtime. Users are encouraged to maintain local backups using the export tools provided in the Settings menu.
